My name is Felipe Vinalay I never imagined that I would learn automotive mechanics until one day my car had an electrical problem. I started working on my own car in 2005 just doing maintenance like oil changes and the brake pad, still I got an electrical problem and took my car to auto repair, but after two times they could not fix the problem. I started to think how difficult it would be to learn to troubleshoot electrical problems and be able to fix my car. I began to study and discover my passion for electrical problems, fixing my car and those of my friends and family led me to start earning money and that’s how I started as an automotive electrician.

I was working in a chicken plant at the same time saving money to buy tools and scanners and curses, library books, CDs, ETC, to learn how to troubleshoot electrical problems and learn everything. I knew it if I want to be a mechanic I need to be professional. 

After two years I quit my job to work only repairing cars but that was something really hard for me, the next year was hard for my family because I was not making enough money to support all the bills, and I end that selling my 1995 Nissan 240SX. And using my credit card to pay the food and bills. My family was telling me to go back and get a job but I just continued working on fixing cars.

Apply for a mechanic job but no one hired me. That was something that make me keep working for myself and now I understand that lead me to learn faster.

The day I found Paul Danner

 (aka ScannerDanner) youtube channel my brain exploded I think that was the last piece that I needed to see the electrical troubleshooter in a different way. I bought the subscription ScannerDanner Premium along with his ebook. I could learn and improve through the content he was providing.

After one year in debt

I start making money working in used car dealers and body shops fixing electrical problems. I was charging $60 dollars for diagnostic cars, and sometimes I was able to fix two or three cars a day.

In 2012 I made my youtube channel, at first, it was just like a hobby until 2016, I stop making videos, and in 2021 I decided to monetize my channel and start making more videos. All my videos are in Spanish  since My first language is Spanish

Today I work for Oscar Auto Repair as a manager since 2019 and now I manage my blog as felivina.com.
